Most properties that call us have already decided they want branded keychains. The part that trips people up is the numbering plan — how to lay out room or unit numbers so a bulk order comes back correct on the first try.

Here is how we walk property managers through it.

Start with your actual room list, not a range

A simple range like “101–120” works for a single-wing motel, but most properties have gaps, renumbered rooms, or non-sequential unit letters (2A, 2B, 3A). Send us the literal list you use internally — a spreadsheet export from your PMS works well — rather than a range we have to guess at.

Decide what else goes on the tag

Room number alone is common for budget motels, but many properties add a small logo, a property name, or a “please return to front desk” line, especially on larger fobs where lost-key return is a real cost driver. Decide this before your mockup round so the layout does not need to be redrawn twice.

Plan for turnover and renovation

If you are mid-renovation or plan to renumber a wing, order in stages rather than committing your entire property to one batch. We keep your numbering file on record, so a second batch for a renovated wing matches the first exactly, down to font size and logo placement.
